It exists to engage families in discussions that center around improving the outcomes for our children…
This organization of parents and grandparents of African descent share information and resources that will empower our families. Our goal is to increase the number of African American children who are proficient and advanced in reading and mathematics in elementary school and beyond. The focus of the monthly/quarterly discussions is to provide insight on academic preparedness prior to entry in school, throughout the school years, and beyond. Guest speakers are invited to speak on special topics and parents themselves facilitate discussions. There are a wide range of topics that include but are not limited to current math strategies, successful habits of the home, and social emotional development.
